“You were right,” she tells him at the park bench. “It just wasn't me you were right about.”

I've never liked 500 days of summer before until I've re-watched it recently and it all became clear to me. I finally understood it. I used to hate it just because the girl and the boy didn't end up together. Missing the whole point of the story, obviously. Well, not until now. I guess that's just how life is. There's a point in life where you're going to meet a person  and both of you are going to be friends and at one point both of you are  going to be in love with each other. Maybe temporarily, maybe at the wrong time, maybe too late or maybe forever. We can't decide that but whatever it is, that person will bring out the best in us. If it doesn't work out, be optimistic about it. Think of it as an experience you've gained. Because, honestly it will make you a much better person. Letting go was never easy and will never be easy but it definitely make us stronger.
